There are few cities, if any, that offer so much variety as does San Diego. Our beautiful downtown offers an amalgam of urban residential life: luxury high-rise condominium complexes, Victorian homes, mid and low rise buildings, a robust business and government center, the largest zoo in the world @ Balboa Park, tourist attractions, deep and enduring historical context, an aircraft carrier (USS Midway) museum, Petco Park (Padres home field), Seaport Village, The Embarcadero, one of the most highly acclaimed waterfronts on the planet, San Diego Bay with Coronado Island on the far side…and all within less than a one mile radius of downtown! Well, Coronado would be slightly farther by car, but by Ferry, it’s less than a mile. It’s no wonder that houses for sale in San Diego draw buyers, not only nationwide, but worldwide, as well.
Downtown San Diego was late to bloom. But, for the “baby boomer” looking for a place to retire, it’s Paradise; for the upwardly mobile professional, it’s opportunity; for the rest of us, it’s home.
